Like a bright flash that trumpets aloud an impending lightening strike, the mayhem in Kenya threatens to wipe from the face of heart-land core unity that has eminently defined her since attaining uhuru in 1963.
Tribalism and ethinicity, the arch-enemies to African unity, exalted high by the white lunacy and long dwarfed by the Kenyan populace is the racing to the fore-threateningly, fiercely and mightily. As long anticipated, it is another subject matter drawn from the ills and curses of multi-party politics- a western birth mark.
Emilio Mwai Kibaki’s refusal to traverse a democratic path has triggered off a glaring onslaught!
The rather delayed but finally announced Sunday poll results pronounced a lead for the incumbent beating rival ODM’s Raila Odinga- flesh and blood of a great Kenyan patriot, Mzee Jaramogi Odinga- Oginga. The elections were tinted with vote rigging and malpractices therefore highly flawed-it is alleged.
Did Kibaki genuinely win, did he rig or both sides rigged and he who emerged victor rigged the most? As far as that is concerned, we need quick and prompt divine retribution.
However circumstantial evidence highly pins the incumbent.
Horrifyingly odd, ODM clamed the majority seats in parliament, Kibaki’s henchmen were ousted in inflating numbers. And here came ECK chairman Samuel Kivuitu declaring a killing kibaki victory!

Circumstantial evidence highly pins the incumbent.
Horrifyingly odd, ODM clamed the majority seats in parliament, Kibaki’s right hand henchmen ousted in inflating numbers. And here came ECK chairman Samuel Kivuitu declaring victory with a margin of less than 300,000 votes for PNU’s Kibaki whose party members suffered blistering losses to Odinga’s ODM candidates.
French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner observed; ‘Were the elections rigged? I think so, the Americans think so, the British think so…..’
Amidst moaning women, groaning men, fury tears, fire and blood, the weeping millions have been left privy to despotic tendencies of some African leaders who not only cherish life presidency but also twist, curve, bend, break and mend their country’s constitutions to oil their power thirsty throats. For the above, African heads have feverishly endavoured with all their magnanimous might to eradicate all opposition to their thrones of power from their alien subjects. This whistles loud the increasing pain orgy suffered by the opposition chiefs. They not only endure skillfully orchestrated election defeats but are also threatened to or do actually serve long prison terms. The incumbents are thereafter let in the political kraals alone appreciating the warmth of kingly robes.
The 2002 Kenyan polls that brought to the fore Ndugu Kibaki were greeted as a monumental success for democracy. One of those rare scenes where a united opposition block ousted a ruling regime it highly blamed for corruption and rape of democracy. Irony in all it’s absolutism strips its whole self naked exactly 5 years after the said polls.
Here, an incumbent, the one who scored the killing triumph in the previous polls contributes to the ruin of democracy- am afraid if these happenings continue occurring in mother Africa, democracy in all it’s absolutism will crumble instantly like a pack of cards.
Machiavellian Kibaki, the good old politician from the house of Mumbi and his acrobatic skills in vote rigging would have instantly elated Bolshevic comrade Joseph Stalin-modern world’s accomplished tyrant who committed some of the most heinous atrocities the world has ever seen including killing Ukrainian prisoners, putting 9,000 of their bodies in a mass grave-clinically laid head to toe to save space in the Ukrainian town of Vinnitsa. The shoe-makers son who robbed bank accounts in his native town Georgia to further the Bolshevik cause so rhymed; ‘ It is never the voting that matters but rather the counting does.’
Exceedingly humbled he would have belched. Unfortunately rather fortunately aged 73 in 1953 march 5th, death had accomplished what no foe could. Joseph Stalin fell after losing the battle with cerebral haemorrhage.
With the dead and the dying littering Kenyan streets, Kibaki to reverse a hell-bound move to a bloody genocide, should instantly strike a compromise with rival Raila-Odinga or else; ‘When spider webs unite, they can tie up a lion.’- Asante Ghana .
